Each time you install a mod, document it in a list. Read the readmes for more info and potential mod conflict information. A lot of mods need you to unzip/unrar with directories intact, but some don’t, and you have to know where to put the files. Take a look at the data files directory, to understand the directory structure. (Myself, I combined all of these mods into one big mod for ease of use). Next: BACK UP YOUR “VIRGIN” DATA FILES DIRECTORY IN CASE YOU SCREW UP. Reinstall MW, then the MW patch, Trib, the Trib patch, and finally Bloodmoon and the BM patch. Uninstall the game and nuke the Morrowind directory. If all else fails, your best bet is to start over. There is yet another mod out there, NPC Replacer 3.5, that replaces every single NPC head (as appropriate) in the game with improved heads based on Rhedd’s et. Make absolutely sure the files are in the proper directories and you are choosing the right esp file at launch.Īlso, the heads from Rhedd’s site will really only work when creating a new character. I can’t seem to get the new head models to work. The Suran Underworld is a high-level mod, again with lots of quests and custom locations…but you play the bad guy ala GTA. It is tightly scripted, has several custom locations, and (best yet) has a dry sense of humor and irony without being slapstick or satire. The Order of the Illuminati covers, well, trying to get into a Morrowind necromancer Illuminati. the addition of a couple of poorly-scripted, world-breaking quests, and uber items to boot) but these two are really good. There’s been a lot of drek story-lines added as mods (i.e. As a fellow Morrowind fanboy, albeit one with no experience with story based mods, can you give me a little information about such mods?
